In this limited edition serigraph Baruch Greenbaum depicts the Western Wall of Jerusalem. The perspective and the vividness of colour serves to highlight the vibrancy of the biblical tradition. The dissonance between the contemporary style and traditional theme illustrates the interplay between secular societal trends and the upkeep of traditional Judaic culture. This juxtaposition is furthered by the modern dress of the crowd, and contrasted against the ancient architecture. The Dome of the Rock in the background, with its significance to Islam, helps perpetrate the idea of a multicultural Jerusalem. The serigraph is printed on paper and signed by the artist at the bottom of the print.
