About the Artist: Born in Jerusalem, Gad Almaliah devoted his life to creative expression through the graphic arts. In 1965, he completed his studies at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. Gad served as president of the Graphic Designer's Association of Israel for 15 years. He has designed for the Israeli, United States, and Mexican Postal Services. In addition, the Israeli Government commissioned him to design coins and medals as well as the emblem for the six-day war. He has also wrote books about design. The central text of his Ketubot is enveloped by special designs, many in a choice of copper alloy, silver alloy, or lithographic watercolors.
